Dorje Ling Buddhist Center (a.k.a. Portland Yeshe Nyingpo) was founded in the early 1980s by H.H. Dudjom Rinpoche and Ven. Gyatrul Rinpoche. The center has been located at 3200 NW Skyline Blvd., Portland, OR, since 1988 and has hosted many teachers, activities and events since that time. This center is a Vajrayana/Tibetan Buddhist center under the direction of Ven. Gyatrul Rinpoche, who resides at Tashi Choling Monastery, Ashland, Oregon. The resident monk is Clark Hansen (a.k.a. Jampel Gyatso) who was ordained by H.H. Penor Rinpoche at Namdroling Monastery, in India. We are located at the top of the West Hills, overlooking Forest Park, the Columbia Basin and the Cascade Mountains, on 7 1/2 acres of forested land, with trails, a temple and retreat cabin in the woods.
Dorje Ling/Portland Yeshe Nyingpo is also a member of the Northwest Dharma Association (
http://www.nwdharma.org). We have regular practices each Sunday, 11 a.m., and special practices for Guru Rinpoche Day, Dakini Day and other events, according to the Tibetan lunar calendar. We offer special teachings to help further one's spiritual path and meditation development. Individual assistance is always available. Please contact us for updated practice times and special events.
Everyone is welcome to attend our practices but we suggest getting oriented to our practice and schedule by calling us (503-292-4004) or emailing us (
clark@clarkhansen.com). Please check our activities and teaching pages for specific practices and events. Our practices are informal and we try to make them as user friendly as possible. Also, please check the websites at our other locations (Tashi Choling Center and Orgyen Dorje Den) and our publications, photos and recordings at
